The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) would unveil the election scheduled for 16 seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in the merged tribal districts on Monday.
According to a statement, the electoral lists would be frozen after the announcement of the election schedule.
The government had earlier asked residents of the tribal areas to know the status of their voter registration by text messaging their computerized national identity card numbers to 8300.
The district election commission offices were said to remain open on Sunday for any rectification in the registration of voters.
Last month, the electoral body had appointed district returning officers (DROs) and returning officers (ROS) for the supervision of polls on 16 seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
According to the notification, ECP had appointed district returning officers in eight districts of the province and returning officers in 16 provincial assembly constituencies.
Besides, the provincial election commissioner was also appointed as the returning officer for election on four reserved seats for women and one for minorities.
