President Dr Arif Alvi, on Monday, reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to secure the sacred places as it was well aware of the value of regional peace and stability. He said this while addressing an event held to commemorate the Baisakhi Festival. Kartarpur corridor had been established by the government as a good neighbourly gesture, he added. Dr Alvi noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan well reflected the demand for peace through his actions. When a society divides on the basis of ethnicity and religion, it is a very destructive and damaging affair, which takes decades to heal; he regretted.
