Addressing Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal( MMA) central council in Islamabad, Secretary General Jamaat e Islami (JI) and the MMA, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the general elections of 2018 were rigged, and the government should constitute a parliamentary commission to probe into the matter. He further said that the new government has been formed but the ruling party’s lack of preparedness is being exposed.
He said that the increase in the electricity tariff, gas and fertilizer prices would add injury to the problems of the masses.
The JI Secretary General suggested the government not to interfere in provincial autonomy and rights of the provinces. ”Any attempt to disturb the madrasssa system would prove a headache for the government”, said Baloch. He called for the clarification on the outline of the uniform education policy stated by the government. Liaqat Baloch said that the patronage of the Qadyanis would prove destructive for the government adding that hue and cry concerning human rights won’t help making this country liberal and secular. He said that the Pak- China friendship has proved to be the need of hour, and the implementation of the CPEC is essential for the peace and stability in the region.
