Clashes between political workers on Sunday left multiple injured in Lahore and Karachi.
Muttahida Qoumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Kunwar Naveed Jamil claimed that the armed Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) workers attacked MQM office in Liaqatabad which resulted in injuries to many workers.
Jamil criticized this act and requested Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), IG Sindh, and other relevant officials to take notice of the incident.
In Lahore, on the other hand, unknown persons opened fire at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s (PTI) office in Wahdat Colony’s constituency PP-160.
Two people got injured as a result of firing and were immediately moved to the hospital while the attacker escaped.
Police reported that PTI workers were preparing for general elections when the incident happened.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) Touseef Shah and PTI’s Mian Mehmood-U-Rasheed are contesting polls from this constituency.
