Two minor sisters who had been kidnapped from Hafizabad three days ago have been recovered by police during an operation in Khanewal.
Aqsa, 4, and Hafiza, 15, were reportedly abducted by their relative for rejecting his marriage proposal.
Police have also claimed to arrest the primary suspect, identified as Saifullah, along with four other accomplices.
The cases of child kidnapping in Pakistan have seen a significant increase in past few years. Last year, about 35,000 cases of child kidnapping had been reported and they are said to be increasing this year as well.
