ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Additional Director and the head of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) that investigated the Panama Papers case, Wajid Zia is set to give his statement today in the Al Azizia reference.
The reference pertains to the Panama Papers Case which disqualified former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and which initiated corruption references against the PML-N leader and his family.
Zia had earlier testified in the Avenfield Properties reference as well.
On Wednesday, moreover, Accountability Court-1 Judge Mohammad Bashir had stated that the court would announce a joint verdict in all three cases once proceedings ended.
The Supreme Court also extended the deadline to conclude the cases by one month.
The cases are now expected to conclude by the 9th of June.
