KARACHI: Gunmen attacked an office at Ghatib Shah Road of Lyari in Karachi on Wednesday in a gun and grenade attack that injured three persons including a local leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
The injured were moved to a hospital immediately, officials stated.
According to law enforcement agencies (LEAs), the member of PML-N, Aqeel Rehmani, was shot at by unidentified suspects near Ghareeb Shah Mazar and received six gunshot wounds.
Rehmani’s bodyguard injured two suspects while they attacked the group with the hand grenade.
A man named Imran was injured during the grenade attack. Citizens nearby succeeded in subduing and handing over a suspect to the rangers, who was identified as Usman.
LEAs also arrested another suspect, identified as Asad Baloch, who was injured. The suspect is said to be the son of Rehman Dakait’s brother, Rahim Karinde.
