LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday criticised his political opponents for their failure to serve the people.
While addressing an event held in commemoration of Labor Day in Lahore, CM Shehbaz questioned what work had his opponents done in their respective provinces.
He also attacked Imran Khan’s 11 proposals and claimed that they were merely a stunt to dramatise protests.
Moreover, he vowed to complete the ‘jangla bus’ (a pejorative term Imran Khan uses for the metro bus project) within the year if people gave him the mandate in the upcoming elections.
“Money has been robbed in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he clamored.
He also criticised the Pakistan Peoples Party government in Sindh and said that Sindh suffered from a tradition of not serving the people.
The Chief Minister took another jibe at his opponents and said that the people who were guilty of corruption had the audacity to hand out advice.
Shehbaz further added that he would not accept the National Accountability Bureau’s double standards.
He also said that he was ready to present himself for accountability if anyone could prove a single of charge of corruption against him.
