GUJRAT: Three female students at the University of Gujrat fell victim to an acid attack, when three men on a motorcycle threw acid on them.
The three women—two sisters and their friend—were waiting at a bus stop when the motorcycle approached them and carried out the barbaric attack.
The students were immediately taken to Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital where they are under treatment for their burns and injuries.
Reports claim that one suspect has been apprehended by passers-by, and has been handed over to the Police. Search for the other two suspects is underway.
Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has also taken notice of the incident and has asked the District Police Officer to submit a report on the attack.
