ISLAMABAD: An overseas forum has been launched to bring back the ‘misguided’ people of Balochistan to the mainstream society and confront the elements who are working on the behest of Pakistan’s enemies.
The Overseas Pakistani Baloch Unity (OPBU), launched at a ceremony in Moscow, is aimed at confronting and exposing the so-called Baloch independence movement across the world.
On the occasion, Dr Jumma Khan Marri, who along with his supporters set up the organisation with the slogan of ‘United We Stand, Divided We Fall’, reiterated his resolve to bring back the innocent Baloch youth to the mainstream society and expose the elements working against Pakistan’s interests on the behest of India.
The event was attended by different segments of Pakistani community residing in Moscow to show their solidarity and support for the initiative. Marri briefed the participants about manifesto, structure and relevant details of the organisation.
Addressing the ceremony, the Baloch leader reiterated that the OPBU will work to resolve issues of innocent and misguided people of Balochistan who are on political asylum abroad. He said that they will confront so-called Baloch leaders including Hyrbyar Marri, Mehran Marri and Brahamdagh Bugti who are working against the interests of Pakistan at all forums and fronts.
Marri said soon the organisation will be expanded to different countries across the world. He said prominent personalities from the Balochistan diaspora will head the organization in those countries, who will also announce their disassociation from the so-called Baloch separatist movement.
He also urged the Baloch youth involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan to lay down arms and start working for betterment of Balochistan by participating in the ongoing development projects. He urged the Baloch youth from Kohlu, his home town, to support him in his mission of peace, unity and brotherhood.
On the occasion, Marri also announced the names of other office holders of the OPBU Russia Chapter. Shahnawaz Baloch has been appointed Chief Coordinator of the organization, while Noor Habib Shah is Coordinator KPK – Baloch Unity,
Syed Ali Kamran Zaidi is Coordinator Sindh – Baloch Unity and Chaudhry Zahid Sohail has been appointed Coordinator Punjab – Baloch Unity. The affiliated organizations including Pakistan Community Russia (Mil Ker Pakistan) will headed by Malik Shahbaz.
The event ended with playing of national anthem of Pakistan and slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’.
