MIRPUR KHAS: A Civil Hospital doctor was beaten up by nurses on Monday, who alleged him of sexually harassment.
Talking to the media, a nurse claimed that the doctor had been harassing her and several other counterparts in the operation theatre. The doctor, however, claimed that he had stopped the nurses from applying makeup in OT which enraged them.
Police officials arrived on spot to stop the angry group. The hospital administration also took notice of the case and appointed three member JIT to probe the matter.
Minister of Health Dr Sikandar Mandhro said that the doctor will be handed a severe punishment if found guilty of harassment.
It was also revealed that the doctor in question had been accused of sexual harassment in the past and that allegations against him had also been proved, but he managed to maintain his position in the hospital due to ‘influence’.
