GUJRANWALA: An eight-year-old boy was sexually assaulted before being strangled to death in Kamoke on Sunday.
SHO Wandu police station told Daily Times that the minor was abducted in the morning, while his dead body was found hours later from the residence of the victim’s relatives.
The police officer further confirmed that the minor had been raped before being murdered, while DNA samples of five suspects have been collected for forensic examination.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and ordered Regional Police Officer (RPO) Gujranwala to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the culprit(s) to justice.
