LAHORE: Law and enforcement agencies have received forensic reports of Zainab, a seven-year-old girl who was raped and murdered brutally in Kasur, revealed a Punjab government official on Friday.
Punjab government spokesman Ahmed Khan told the media that the govt had found an important clue in the case and added that the culprit would be arrested soon.
He said the forensic reports would help the agencies to locate the murderer.
“The government of Punjab will soon hold the rapist accountable and punish him for his horrific crime,” Khan said.
DNA tests results have reportedly confirmed that the same culprit carried out the horrific rapes and murders of eight children in Kasur.
Police have carried out the DNA tests of at least 67 suspects but none of these results matches those of the culprit.
Earlier today, the Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Mansoor Ali Shah directed the Punjab Inspector General (IG) to arrest the culprit in 36 hours.
