LAHORE: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will complete the process of delimitation of constituencies by May 3, 2018.
Talking to media on Friday, ECP Secretary Babar Yaqoob said five delimitation committees have been formed. However, he did not disclose further details.
The secretary said that the ECP has summoned constituency maps from the provincial governments by January 10 and 45 days have been set for the proposals of delimitation.
All provincial governments have been directed to install CCTV cameras in any polling stations that they deem sensitive.
The session, chaired by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Raza, was also attended by all four provincial election commissioners, chief secretaries, National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) chairman and statistics secretary.
