GUJRANWALA: Corruption Establishment Gujranwala has asked heads of various departments for action against officials involved in corruption cases.
An anti-corruption spokesman said that enquiry officers had investigated about 50 officials of different departments in the region against whom allegations of corruption, misuse of powers and fraud were proven; while enquiry officers also recommended registration of cases against them. Anti-Corruption Establishment Gujranwala Regional Director Fareed Ahmed in the light of enquiry reports, wrote letters to heads of various departments for early action against corrupt officials. It was recommended in the letter that the involved officials should be suspended from services.
