LAHORE: The public will not to allow the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to recall the history by imposing National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said.
He was addressing a rally on Sunday in Ghotki’s district, Ubauro. He said that the public will take to streets if the government tried to impose NRO in the country.
He said back in 2007, former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf had imposed NRO to pave the way to corrupt bureaucrats and politicians to remain stay in power.
“Shehbaz Sharif your dream will never materialise through imposing NRO”, he said.
“Nawaz has looted Rs 300 billion and laundered it to offshore accounts”, adding that Zardari is not far behind in corruption, he said. “If National Accountability Bureau (NAB) law aimed to limits the judiciary powers, his party would take to streets”.
He said that the people of Sindh had been living oppressed life for decades in Pakistan. He urged the people of Sindh to not cast their votes to corrupt politicians.
