Lahore: The Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) said that enemies of Islam are conspiring to disrupt peace in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and such conspiracies could only be contained through the unity of Muslim Ummah. The PUC said that recent US statements against CPEC and United Nation’s (UN) intention to blacklist Arab Military Alliance were a categorical demonstration of the plans of the enemies of Islam and Muslims.
Renowned religious scholars and representatives of different religious organizations addressed the ‘Unity of Ummah Conference’ held Sunday at Jamia Masjid Marhaba under the aegis of PUC and stated that it was very welcoming that Saudi Arabia was willing to become part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the decision of Saudi leadership had perplexed regional powers of the world.
Those present at the conference included: Maulana Abdul Kareem Nadeem, Maulana Abdul Hameed Watto, Maulana Abdul Hameed Sabri, Maulana Nauman Hashir, Maulana Tahir Aqeel, Maulana Hafiz-ur-Rehman, Maulana Shahzad Ahmed, Maulana Shahbaz Ahmed, Maulana Anwar-ul-Haq Mujahid, Maulana Ahmed Nadeem, Maulana Ashfaq Patafi, Qazi Matiullah Saeedi and Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi. The scholars addressing the conference stated that conspiracies were being hatched at international forums to destabilize Muslim countries and blame games were being started to disrupt peaceful situation of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. On one side, conspiracies are being hatched to destabilize Pakistan by making plans to foil development projects of CPEC and on the other side, different excuses are being coined to create anarchy and chaos in Saudi Arabia, said the speakers.
The UN’s stance on account of baseless reports to blacklist Arab Military Alliance aimed to strengthen the elements attempting to wreak havoc with the peace of Arab world and Haramain Al-Sharifain, said clerics. They said that the entire Muslim Ummah had rejected the UN reports levelling accusations against Arab Military Alliance.
The Conference also adopted a resolution that demanded the government to expose the elements responsible for the amendment bill on ‘Finality of Prophethood’ and punish those responsible. The resolution also thanked people of Pakistan for taking prompt stance on the issue of ‘Finality of Prophethood’ stating that any organization, individual or institution would not be allowed to attack the sanctity of Prophethood.
Another resolution adopted at the conference condemned the statements of US administration against CPEC stating that US leadership should not sponsor elements hatching conspiracies against stability of Pakistan. “CPEC is emblem of Pak-China friendship, which would ultimately bring development and prosperity in Pakistan and anyone would not be allowed to conspire against CPEC”, the PUC said.
