RAWALPINDI: Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) Director General Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal Tuesday visited the National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) Headquarters.
During his visit, the FWO director general met NH&MP Inspector General Dr Syed Kaleem Imam and attended the rank wearing ceremony of officers as the chief guest.
In his speech, the director general said that the NH&MP was one of the most respected and honoured institutions of Pakistan. “It has not only introduced new policing culture in Pakistan but also changed the mindset of the society towards respect for law.”
He said that the FWO and the NH&MP would jointly face upcoming challenges regarding the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)-related projects.
The NH&MP inspector general said that construction of new highways under the CPEC would enhance their domain and institutional responsibilities.
