LAHORE: Sacked prime minister Nawaz Sharif reached London.
Nawaz reached the airport from Jati Umra amid tight security. All the routes leading to the airport were sealed and cell phones were also taken from the security staff.
Before his departure, he stayed in the State Lounge for some time where he met his brother Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Senator Asif Kirmani was also present during the meeting.
Nawaz will celebrate Eidul Azha in London with his family. His wife Kulsoom is contesting a by-election from NA-120. The seat fell vacant after Nawaz was disqualified. According to Maryam Safdar, Kulsoom was suffering from throat cancer.
