RAWALPINDI: At least two civilians were killed in unprovoked firing by Indian army at the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday, leaving three others injured in the process.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Indian forces fired heavy mortar guns along the LoC in Chirikot and Satwal sectors.
Two civilians were killed and three others injured in the incident, the ISPR said, adding that Pakistan Army troops befittingly responded to unprovoked Indian aggression.
Irrespective of November 2003 ceasefire agreement, there have been repeated outbreaks of firing across the LoC, with both sides reporting deaths and injuries including of civilians.
According to ISPR statistics, Indian forces have committed over 400 ceasefire violations on the Pakistani side since the beginning of the year, killing five and injuring 30 civilians.
