KARACHI: A major power outage hit many parts of the metropolis on Thursday morning.
According to reports, power supply was suspended to many areas of the city around 6 am.
The areas facing power outage include Defence View, Teachers Society, Defense Housing Authority, Model Colony, Malir, Tariq Bin Ziad Colony, Gulberg, parts of Clifton, Akhtar Colony, Kashmir Colony, and Mehmoodabad.

The metropolis has been facing is load shedding for the past three days.
K-Electric informed the citizens via a Tweet. The tweet read, Karachi is experiencing the disruption in power supply due to a tripping in the Extra High Tension (EHT) Network. Supply from the National Grid to the city is off. Restoration work is underway, said K-Electric.

In another tweet, the company updated about the condition of the power outage.

KE stated, “Power Supply Update: Restoration process is underway in different parts of the city as supply from the National grid is partially restored. Parts of Gulshan, Fed-B area, Liaquatabad, and Korangi have been energised. Work is progressing swiftly on the remaining affected areas.”
