The medical board at Services Hospital has reduced the dose of heart medicines to ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif due to constant fluctuation in his platelet count. According to details, the doctors are continuously carrying out medical tests of the former premier in order to remain aware about his health condition.
Earlier, Nawaz Sharif, who is suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney and heart diseases, took a walk on his own for the first time without the supervision of doctors. Dr Mehmood Ayaz, head of the medical board, told that the erstwhile premier’s health condition was improving gradually. On the other hand, Nawaz Sharif’s personal physician Dr Adnan Khan tweeted that his health was still critical. The treating doctors tried to reduce the steroids dose being given to him, but unfortunately resulted in a drop in platelet count again, which had come down to 38*10^3/Ul, he stated.
