According to Railway authorities, the cargo train was going to Karachi from Punjab when it bogies derailed.
The passengers train had to be stopped because of the incident which caused massive delay on both sides of track.
Railway administration says relief crane has been dispatched from Rohri after Mirpur Mathelo cargo train accident and soon alternate lines will be restored.
According to locals, the accident was so severe that the wheels of many bogies came off and almost 250-metre portion of the track was damaged.
