Fazal-Ur-Rehman-750x369Former rivals have turned friends as Awami National Party (ANP) has announced extending support to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman on an anti-government march the latter has announced to hold later this month.
Addressing the party’s provincial council at Bacha Khan Centre, ANP chief Asfandyar Wali said that his party will extend its support to JUI-F’s Azadi March, adding that a procedure is being chalked out as to which extent the party can support them. He said it has decided that he will attend the march and hoped that the party workers will also join him.
The ANP chief cautioned that if any political worker is tortured on October 27 or they are stopped from taking out the rally, the ANP will take to streets against such tactics. He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chief minister should not resort to such tactics.
The ANP chief said the opposition wants to oust the ‘selected’ government and a transparent election wherein all the institutions work within their constitutional limits and army is not deputed inside and outside the polling stations.
