At least 137 more dengue fever cases emerged in Karachi in a day on Friday, taking the reported cases to 2,775. According to the daily report issued by Prevention and Control Program for Dengue (PCPD) Sindh, as many as 145 new dengue fever cases were reported throughout the Sindh province in a day, out of which 137 were reported in Karachi and eight in other districts. In September, a total of 1402 dengue positive cases were detected across the province out of which 1342 happened in Karachi and 60 in other districts. In 2019, a total of 2,904 dengue cases have been reported in Sindh province so far out of them, 2,775 were in Karachi and 129 in other districts. A total 11 people have been died from dengue fever in Karachi this year so far.
