The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) district leaders held a Quran Khawani at Bhutto House Thursday to commemorate the 34th death anniversary of Shahnawaz Bhutto. They included Abdul Fatah Bhutto, Muhammad Punhal Luhar, recently elected Larkana Mayor Khair Muhammad Shaikh, District Council Chairman Khan Muhammad Sangroo, Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto, Dr. Sakina Gaad, Syed Arshad Rashdi and others. After recitation, prayers were held for the departed soul which was followed by distribution of charity food (langar) among the participants. The activists later on went to the Bhutto mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh and showered rose petals and also offered Dua at the grave of Shahnawaz Bhutto. They paid rich tributes to Shahnawaz Bhutto and said that Shahnawaz Bhutto fought for the rights of poor & downtrodden masses of the country; he did not bow down before dictator and continued his struggle for the restoration of democracy in Pakistan. They said that despite passage of 34 long years, people across the country still loved Bhutto family and keep on saluting them for their daring political history.
