Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Information and Archives, Law and Anti-Corruption Barrister Murtaza Wahab, in a statement on Sunday, acclaimed the efforts of the Excise Police authorities for impounding a truck in Kashmore and recovered 336 kilogrammes of heroin from its secret cavities. According to an estimate, the value of the seized heroin is around Rs 5 billion. According to officials, the smuggled heroin was of fine quality and was to be smuggled to Karachi. The police had registered an FIR against the arrested person, who was being interrogated to track down his accomplices. Murtaza Wahab, while applauding the efforts of the Excise Police, said that valiant efforts like this were needed to rid the province of drugs. He said that it was a huge success of the Excise Police against the drug peddlers.
