Pakistan People’s Party leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Tuesday that the government was about to carve out a splinter group within another party for its political interests. “First a patriot was formed through our people, now they are attempting to make a patriot part 2. The script has been written,” he said. The PPP leader said that the government was concocting reasons behind the meeting, but they should know that pulling strings from behind would not benefit anyone. The PPP leader said that Fawad Chaudhry’s statement which called for the dismissal of Sindh government, meant that the Sindh governor was in contact with MPAs. As many as 15 members of the Punjab Assembly (MPAs) and five of the National Assembly (MNAs) had a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan at his Bani Gala residence. According to sources, those present in the meeting with Khan included Maulana Mohammad Ghayasuddin, Shoaib Awaisi, Chaudhry Ashraf Ansari, Faisal Khan Niazi, Ghulam Qasim Hanjra, Muhammad Arshad, Azhar Chandia, Ghazanfar Langah, Mian Jalil Ahmad Sharaqpuri, and Nishat Ahmad Khan Daha.
