Prior to the inauguration of Hajj flight operation from next month, an important meeting was held at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore on Wednesday.
The meeting was chaired by Chief Operating Officer Nazir Ahmed Khan.
The meeting discussed the arrangements and facilities to be provided at the airport to help and guide the Hujjaj during the Hajj operation.
Deputy Airport Manager Anwar Zia, along with officials of the Pakistan Army, FIA, ANF, customs, airport health department and operating airlines were also present.
The arrangements for Hajj Operation 2019 were decided in consultation with all participants. The Hajj operation will be carried out from main terminal building ie Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore like previous year.
Haj flight operation to start next week
Important decisions were also taken during the session in the light of standing instructions of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority Director General Shahrukh Nusrat, regarding improved services for the pilgrims such as first aid, ablution and prayer area, clean drinking water in line with services by Civil Aviation Authority.
During the session, special instructions regarding Hujjaj security and smooth traffic flow at the airport were given to CAA vigilance and traffic police staff.
Keeping in view the security aspect and to avoid congestion at the airport the house decided that only one visitor will be allowed with each passenger, both at the time of departure and arrival.
A two-day Hajj training seminar will be held at DHA Event Halls, Phase-5, DHA Lahore on June 29 and 30. The seminar is a regular annual feature arranged by Religious Affairs Branch DHA Lahore. The DHA administrator will preside over the seminar. The trainer, Hafiz Dr Abdul Wahid Qureshi, a religious scholar and trainer from Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs; will provide guidance and instructions on Hajj rituals and other preparative steps ie, passport, visa, currency exchange and pilgrimage.
