Three levies personnel were martyred and two others injured in a blast in tehsil Shewa of North Waziristan district on Saturday.
According to Radio Pakistan, the explosives were planted near a levies check-post. The injured have reportedly been shifted to a local hospital.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan strongly condemned the blast and expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in the incident.
In a statement, he said that such cowardly acts “cannot deter our resolve against terrorism”.
