National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser formed a 13-member parliamentary committee to make sure that the decorum of the House is maintained during the sessions, a private TV channel reported on Monday. The committee will work under the speaker, but Prime Minister Imran Khan will also be included in it as Leader of the House.
According to the notification, Shehbaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Sheikh Rasheed, Tariq Cheema and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui are also in the committee. The notification said the committee will investigate the complaints regarding behavioral issues of lawmakers. Sources said PML-N leaders have asked NA speaker to take strict action against some federal ministers if the government wants to create good environment in the parliament to run its proceedings. The PML-N said the PTI ministers must be restricted from resorting to personal attacks on opposition leaders if they seek to avoid criticism on the prime minister.
