KARACHI: Spokespersons of the PML-N (Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz) and the MMA (Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal) on Wednesday night condemned the attack on local PML-N leader Aqeel Rehman in Lyari that had occurred a few hours prior to this condemnation.
The representative of PML-N Sindh, Asad Subhani, condemned the attack on Aqeel Rehman. He stated that criminals were strengthening once again and the Sindh government had failed miserably in maintaining peace in the city.
On the other hand, the president of MMA Karachi chapter, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, also said that the attack on the local PML-N leader was deplorable.
The incidents of firing and hand grenade attacks are just a conspiracy to destroy the peace of the city, he stated. Targeting political persons and civilians shows the failure of the government in maintaining peace, he concluded.
