Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of National Assembly (MNA) Javed Latif has offered an ‘apology’ on Friday over his ‘lewd remarks’ against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Murad Saeed yesterday.
The MNA talked to the media outside the parliament on Friday and accepted that he should not have passed such remarks, though he refused to say whether his remarks were ‘right or wrong’. Latif’s statement has come a day after a scuffle broke out between the two after a session of the National Assembly was adjourned.
Videos televised later revealed that PML-N’s MNA had passed alleged lewd remarks that prompted Saeed to attempt to land a punch on his face.
National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said that their heads hang in shame over the incident yesterday. Sadiq had ordered an inquiry into the issue after the clash was reported.
Javed Latif lambasted PTI Chairman Imran Khan for allegedly justifying Murad Saeed’s actions. During a media interaction hours after the scuffle; PML-N’s MNA passed distasteful remarks about Saeed’s two younger sisters.
