LAHORE: Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has said that services of dutiful and hard working officers were pride of the Police Department.
Dedication and diligence of such officers has not only helped control crime rate but has also boost up morale of the force, the IGP said while addressing a farewell ceremony organised, held at Central Police Office on Thursday, to honour outgoing Assistant IGP (Legal) Qaisar Ali Sheikh.
All senior police officers were also present.
Qaisar joined police force in 1984 and was promoted to the rank of DSP in 2008. He had served as SP Legal, SP Investigation Toba Tek Singh and AIG Legal (Human Rights Cell) in Central Police Office during his service.
While paying tribute to Qaisar Ali Sheikh, the said that Qaisar had always worked with devotion and legal branch had made remarkable advancement in short period of time during his tenure. IGP also presented a souvenir to the outgoing officer.
