Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) has filed elementary inquiry report in respect of PIA plane crash case in Sindh High Court (SHC) during the hearing of the petition seeking investigation into PIA plane crash and fixation of responsibility. During the hearing of the case Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar questioned the CAA where is final inquiry report. 4 years have been elapsed after occurrence of the plane crash incident. The incident pertains to 2016 and you have not finalized the inquiry so far. Civil Aviation authorities told the court the plane has been manufactured in 3 countries. Report has been received from France and Canada and the report on overhauling and acceleration will come from US. The court while giving time to CAA to file the complete report till November 19 adjourned the hearing of the case.
Iqbal Kazmi had filed petition seeking court’s orders in connection with investigation into crash of the plane and fixation of responsibility. As many as 48 passengers including 5 crew staff and renowned scholar Junaid Jamshaid had died in the plane crash which had taken place in December 2016.
