Supreme Court (SC) will take up for hearing today the review petitions filed against its detailed decision in presidential reference against Justice Qazi Faez Isa. SC bench presided over by Justice Umar Ata Bandial and comprising Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik, Justice Faisal Arab, Justice Mazhar Alam Mian Khel, Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin will hear the review petitions. Through review petitions Justice Qazi Faez Isa, his spouse Cerina Isa , presidents of Sindh High Court Bar Association, Supreme Court Bar Association, Quetta Bar Association, Shah Nawaz Ismail, vice chairman Punjab Bar Council, senior advocate Abid Hassan Manto and Pakistan Bar Council have prayed the court to see again paragraphs 3 to 11 of its short order. The petitioners have raised the objection in review petitions that the directives, observations or material in paragraphs from 3 to 11 of June 19 short order is unnecessary, contradictory and illegal. These are liable to be expunged. As error and mistake has been committed in the record due to it, therefore, it should be reviewed and expunged.
