Two sub sectors of Federal Capital including I-8 and I-10 are beng unsealed today Thursday. According to a notification issued by the local administration, I-8/3, I-8/4, I-10/1 and I-10/2 are being nsealed today at 07PM. These sectors were sealed on 18th June due to surge in Coronavirus cases in the mentioned localities.
Meanwhile, in view of the growing number of coronavirus cases in the federal capital, the new working hours of government offices have been extended until Friday, 31st July.
The Establishment Division notified that offices will be open for six hours from Monday to Thursday.
From Monday to Thursdays the office time will be from 10 am to 4 pm while Friday working hours will be from 10 am to 1 pm.
As per the notification, new working hours will remain in force till Friday, 31st July, or until the second order is introduced.
On the other hand, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry rejected the Sindh government’s decision to extend the lockdown and demanded that the decision be revoked.
“Businesses should be allowed to operate at full capacity,” the notification said, adding that the administration should ensure implementation of SOPs.
The chamber said that if the lockdown persists, several businesses will shut down permanently. “Business closures will increase chaos, unemployment, and poverty.”
