The opposition to the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday submitted an application for issuance of production orders of National Assembly (NA) members who are under detention in several different cases. The application was filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the NA Murtaza Javed Abbasi. The application pleaded with the Speaker of the House Asad Qaiser to issue production orders of PML-N’s Khawaja Saad Rafique, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Rana Sanaullah Khan, PPP’s Asif Ali Zardari and Syed Khurshid Shah. The National Assembly will meet in Islamabad today (Wednesday) at 4pm, and Speaker Asad Qaiser will preside over the session.
