District administration Peshawar in a joint operation with the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) sealed the Daewoo Bus Terminal on Monday for not replacing the old buses and consecutively plying them on the route of the southern districts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The action has been taken in light of the directives of the provincial government. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken notice of the operation of old buses on various routes, particularly southern districts and served notice on the transport company to replace them. The officials of the district administration Peshawar along with the RTA carried out an operation and sealed the terminal of the company situated on G.T. Road by erecting concrete blocks at the entry gate of the service. The management of the Daewoo Bus Service has been directed to arrange new buses for the route of the southern districts and strictly following the official code of conduct, otherwise legal proceedings would be initiated against them.
