Veteran Pakistani TV actor Zaheen Tahira passed away at her 79 early on Tuesday morning after an extended illness.
Tahira, who entered the entertainment industry in the mid-60s, is one of the most beloved actresses of Pakistan. She has worked for decades in various lead roles in over 700 dramas. The actress was honored with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2013. Her last drama was Baban Khala Ki Betian, which premiered in June 2018.
Last month, the actress was put on the ventilator after enduring a heart attack and was rushed to Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi after another cardiac arrest where she breathed her last at 4 am on Tuesday. She suffered another heart attack earlier today.
