The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced on Monday that the citizens will be able to book new currency notes for Eid via a texting service.
The currency notes will be issued from May 20 to May 31 while the texting service will launch from May 19.
To book currency notes, customers will have to send their NIC number and bank branch identification number to 8877.
Identification numbers for E-branches are available on the websites of private banks and SBP.
Multiple CNIC numbers will not be entertained from one mobile number.
1700 branches of various banks across 142 cities will issue new currency notes.
The per capita quota of new notes is three bundles of Rs10, and one bundle each of Rs50 and Rs100 notes.
