SHIKARPUR: The news regarding killing two notorious terrorists spread like fire in the Jungle in Shikarpur because Shikarpur has infamous owing to suicide blasts and remote control blasts and people of Shikarpur suffered a lot.
Two master mind and notorious terrorists identified as Molvi Abdullah Brohi and Hafeez Brohi were killed in an encounter with Shikarpur police in the area of Sibi, Balochistan province, at about 3:30 PM, on Thursday.
Sajjad Ameer Sadozai, SSP Shikarpur told the media men during press conference held at his office that Molvi Abdullah Brohi and Hafeez Brohi, the Ameer and Naib Ameer of Daish Sindh and Balochistan chapter, respectively, were involved in plotting and carrying out many suicide attacks, remote control blasts and IDE blasts in Sindh and Balochistan.
SSP went on saying that Molvi Abdullah Brohi and Hafeez Brohi came in limelight since 2010 and carried out many suicide attacks including two suicide attacks on former MNA Dr Muhammad Ibrahim Jatoi, who survived, remote control blast on Dargah Hajjan Shah Marri Sharif in which 12 innocent persons including Gadinasheen Syed Hajan Shah embraced martyrdom, two suicide blasts on Imambargahas of Shikarpur in which 75 innocent person were martyred and at least 100 persons sustained injuries, murder of Allama Shafqat Abbas Matuhari in Khanpur, carrying out suicide blast on mourners during Muharram ul Harram in Jacobabad in which at least two dozen persons were martyred and score of persons sustained injuries, blast of Masjid Ul Harram of Quetta in which at least 20 persons were embraced martyrdom, Sehwan Blast in which score of followers of embraced martyrdom and sustained injuries.
Besides, both the killed terrorists were involved in carrying out blast on Siraj Ahmed Raisani in which at least 150 persons were martyred and score of persons sustained profound injuries and also involved in committing attack on police requirement centre in Quetta in which a large number of police personnel embraced martyrdom and sustained injuries.
SSP Shikarpur claimed that police have recovered 04 hand grenades, two Kalashnikovs and two TT Pistol from their possession. Sindh government had placed bounty amount Rs10 million on Hafeez Brohi while Rs 5 million bounty amount has been announced for Molvi Abdullah Brohi, SSP said.
SSP also claimed both the terrorists were involved in plotting subversive activities in Balochistan and master mind of many subversive activities in Sindh and Balochistan as well. Also, both came to Sibi to plot terror activity in Shikarpur in this regard who were residing near Sibi to target once again Shikarpur, however Shikarpur police has foiled their plans.
Replying to a question, SSP Shikarpur said that ASP Shikarpur Amjad Farooque was supervising special police party who carried out mission. However, SSP termed it a big achievement of Shikarpur police and informed the media men that IG police has also announced Rs 2 million reward money for raiding police party.
Both the bodies would be shifted to Civil Hospital Shikarpur for postmortem examination. Neither heirs’ of terrorists came to receive the bodies nor have police lodged an FIR against them till filling of this news story. It is worthwhile to mention here that both the terrorists were native of adjacent villages of Shikarpur district.
