QUETTA: Chief Justice (CJ) Saqib Nisar criticised the protesting young doctors during the hearing of the case related to the government hospitals condition in Balochistan and he asked them to work properly first and then make demands.
Aurangzeb Haq Provincial chief secretary told the court that the government has released Rs1 billion to make the health sector better.
The CJ stated that the doctors involved in politics should be fired.
Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan also added that it only happens in Pakistan where the doctors go on strikes and don’t work.
Dr. Yasir Khosti, President Young Doctors Association (YDA) informed the two-member bench that they only get paid Rs24,000 monthly salary as compared to the other where the salary is Rs60,000.
Aurangzeb Haq informed the court that the government increased their salary only by Rs4,000.
Saleh Nasir, health secretary was also present during the hearing and he informed the bench that they cannot fulfill all of the demands of young doctors and the government has also approved the hiring of 571 doctors in the province.
