HUNZA: The rescue team has recovered the bodies of three tourists on Thursday, who went missing after a landslide struck Hunza, according to rescue officials.
Five tourists were buried on Monday by an avalanche near Karimabad’s Ultar Glacier but two of them were rescued sustaining critical injuries.
Since then, the rescue team continued the operation to find the missing tourists.
Gilgit Commissioner Usman Ahmed informed that the deceased include two people from Hunza and one from Lahore.
The bodies of the deceased were shifted to the Ultar Meadows Hospital.
Personnel of army and Gilgit-Baltistan police were assisting local volunteers in the rescue operation.
The army has cleared the severed road links in the area after the landslide.
