ISLAMABAD: The Chasma Atomic Plant (C-II) has restarted and would add 350 megawatts to the national grid system after 36 days.
The power plant was closed down last month for annual repairing and fuel changing but due to the joint efforts of Pakistan and Chinese engineers, its maintenance work was completed before the deadline.
Around three power plants, C.1, C.2 and C.3, are now operational; because this power plant has been upgraded to Chasma Nuclear Hub which has added some 1000 megawatts of power to the national grid
Work on Chasma Nuclear Power Plant C-4 has started and it will be completed by April, playing a considerable a role in overcoming the current energy crisis.
