ISLAMABAD: An inquiry report was submitted into the case of a district judge who is alleged to have abused and tortured a minor who was working in his house.
The Islamabad High Court is probing an additional session judge for alleged violence on his 10-year-old domestic worker.
According to media reports, police recovered the domestic servant from a house in Sector I-9 after receiving complaints. A case was registered on Friday against Raja Khurram Ali Khan and his wife at the Industrial Area police station for torture and violence.
The FIR states that the judge and his wife had subjected the domestic worker to severe torture for the past two years. The domestic worker, recalling a recent incident, claimed that she was even beaten for losing a broom.
The chief justice of the Islamabad High Court took notice of the incident and asked for a report over the incident in two days. The IHC registrar has summoned the judge for an inquiry.
