LAHORE: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Mustafa Kamal has said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) cannot stop corruption on its own and ‘decentralisation of power is necessary for eradicating the problem’.
“Let it be known that the job of the parliamentarians is legislation and not building roads,” Kamalsaidwhile addressing the Lahore High Court Bar Association.
The PSP leader said that Pakistan does not need a democracy that is only limited to Islamabad and added that the followers of Muttahida Quami Movement’s (MQM) de facto Chief Altaf Hussain have still not resigned from their assembly seats – despite the founder’s directions.
Kamal revealed that as Karachi mayor, he wasn’t involved in any sort of corruption whatsoever. He further vowedto link Karachi with rest of the country.
