On Thursday, Punjab Primary and Secondary Health Department has dismissed 180 doctors who were absent from their duties for a long period of time, reported Daily Times.
Grade 17 doctors were not attending their duties for a long time.
Doctors have been fired as per the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act 2006 (PEDA Act) based on the reports compiled by their respective hospital medical superintendents (MS).
