The miscreant(s) in the wee hours of Saturday barged into a temple in a village Mato within limits of Nagarparkar police station and allegedly damaged the idols of the sacred deities of Mata Hinlaj placed in the temple.
The villagers informed the police of the incident and which has started the manhunt for the miscreants involved in the incident. SSP Tharpkar Hassan Sardar Niazi told the media persons that he had directed the DSP and SHO Nagarparkar to probe the matter and trace out those who were involved in such a gruesome act adding he informed that police with the help of the experts would trace the miscreants.
While, the aide of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on human rights, Advocate Veerji Kohli, who also hails from the same area, talking to the media said that the Sindh government taking strong notice of an unfortunate incident had directed SSP Tharparkar to arrest the accused at the earliest. He said that according to the initial report there were the footprints of one person, who had vandalized the temple and damaged the deity.
Kolhoi, however. assured the people that police would soon arrest the unscrupulous elements involved in such gruesome acts in the peaceful region of Tharparkar. The PPP MPA from Parkar region Qasim Siraj Soomro said that the police teams were busy tracing the accused adding he assured the people to trust in them since they were there to bring the culprits to the book.
” Nobody will be allowed to create the dents in the exemplary coexistence among the communities of various faiths living peacefully since time immemorial” Mr Soomro added. added. The rights activists both in Thar and other parts of the country took to Twitter and other social media websites expressed their deep grief and resentment and condemning the incident and demanded the early arrest of those involved in such acts in very a very peaceful area where people from all communities have been living peacefully for centuries without any discrimination of caste and creed.
