Accountability Court (AC) has deferred indictment of former president Asif Ali Zardari in Thatta water supply illegal contracts case till August 07. The court has accepted Asif Zardari plea for exemption from court’s attendance for one day. Judge Muhammad Azam Khan of AC took up the case for hearing Tuesday. Asad Abbasi advocate assistant to Farooq H Naik appeared in the court and filed exemption plea for one day from Asif Zardari pleading Asif Zardari should not be indicted. Farooq H Naik is engaged in Karachi, therefore, more time be given. The court inquired where is Farooq H Naik engaged. Adad Abbasi advocate told the court there is Senate session with reference to Kashmir and Farooq H Naik is engaged therein. NAB Prosecutor said if Naik is engaged then the lawyer who is assisting him should give arguments . The court while accepting Asif Zardari exemption plea adjourned the hearing of the case till August 07.
